Dear no author, You and Giorgio support very ethical philosophies, but seriously need to address the systemic conditions and practices that led to the unquestionably tragic world we find ourselves in now, and in particular, how to reform the very long standing, sharply self-destabilizing, design of the economy to maximize profits by investing in maximizing growing profits (compounding) remarkably blind to the costs, such as escalating disruption of the economy’s supporting societal and environmental contexts. Do you have thoughts on how to address those systemic operating challenges?

Yes read all my other work. I have send it to you serveral times.

Yes, I read a lot of it. You never seem to move beyond beautifully presenting the symptoms and never looking for the animating systems. We might get further if we talked about it. https://synapse9.com/OurPlaceInNature/FindingOurPlace.htm

Haha you definitely didn’t read it properly than.

Likewise, T'is a very common complaint. :-)

How about we discuss some of it? That might help. I'm an accomplished senior scientist who has been successfully decoding many features of the design and steering of natural systems. I started from noticing that studying equations keeps physics from studying how systems begin and end, and then realized that systems are organizations, not much like equations in the first place. I think science, not studying the phenomena directly but relying on our cheap representations of them, could be what got us in so much trouble! :-)

Let me know what time works best for you. I'm in New York (ET)

Thank you for this concise explanation of our current situation. It connects dots I'd already discovered such as addiction to hoarding and systemic self-amplification and extrapolates from them.

Yes, it's fascinating that much of the time we only read things for what we already know. If you'd like to go further, have a look at my invitation to discuss how every growth system ends in a crisis, generally with a choice of making the right turn to survive or not. https://synapse9.com/OurPlaceInNature/FindingOurPlace.htm
